Concrete Backyard with Fence Philadelphia

Our client's backyard was full of weeds and mosquitos. We converted it to all concrete and installed a 6' high fence with a gate. Our client has a small dog which required that all areas of fence to securely contain her pampered pooch.

The alleyway was full of trees and debris, obstructing transport of our concrete. Adding to our difficulty, her house was perfectly centered between 50 row homes. We had no option but

to protect the her interior and move the material through the house.

She hired a contractor that had no idea of how to construct a fence or how to pour concrete. We were called to the rescue and listened closely to her concerns and desired outcome of her backyard.

Subsequently she was satisfied with our service and can now enjoy the security and beauty of her new backyard.

How to Resurface Concrete Steps Philadelphia

I resurfaced these concrete steps in Philadelphia that were suffering from discoloration. The customer was not happy with the condition of the steps and called me to revitalize her steps. I used a product called renew which restores and protects the concrete. The job took me 1 hour total.

Concrete Driveway Philadelphia

I am currently working on the driveway job shown below. The old driveway was severely settling. As a result, water was pooling at the center of the driveway, making it a nightmare in the winter to clear the snow. Also, the driveway was unsightly because of the several cracks.
Unknown to me when I estimated the job, the concrete had wire mesh which added significant time for excavation. It's difficult to determine if wire mesh is integrated into concrete by looking at the surface however, based upon the level of cracking and settlement on this concrete driveway, I assumed the previous concrete contractors ignored using steel reinforcement. Nonetheless, I will compact and lay reinforcement to this driveway. I plan to never hear a peep from this customer about cracking of his driveway.

Concrete Backyard Philadelphia

Concrete backyards can be a challenge in Philadelphia because of access. If the alleyway is not clear then I have to clear the alley to move my material through to replace the backyard. Some alleys have tree trunks that obstructs the pathway. An alternative option is to protect the floors in the house and move the material through that way.

The video below is a job we did in South Philly. I had to come through the house on this job. My challenge also included arranging parking on the narrow street out front. In addition, there was 2 hour parking and I had to kindly ask the ticketing guy for some leniency. I could have picked up a contractors placard at the parking authority but that would have taken half my day.

However, the job went very well. Most importantly, the customer was satisfied with the finished product. Take a look at the video.
